Ludlow'S Island Resort - Northwoods Cabins near Chisholm-Hibbing
Ludlow's Island Resort offers northwoods cabins set at the water's edge of Lake Vermilion. Guests have access to Lake Vermilion for fishing, with opportunities to catch walleye, crappies, northern pike, muskie, and bass. Watercraft rentals are available. The resort is located 95 km from Chisholm-Hibbing. Amenities include WiFi, a swimming beach with a climbing iceberg and waterslide, paddleboats, kayaks, a sailboat, canoes, hydrobikes, pickleball, tennis, racquetball, a treehouse, ping pong, an adult and kid library, a game room with Nintendo Wii, a pantry for groceries and snacks, movies for checkout, and evening beach bonfires. There is covered dockage for boats with electricity and cane poles for kids to fish with. The LAURENTIAN DIVIDE RECREATION AREA serves as the trailhead for the Lookout Mountain Trail and Laurentian Divide Fitness Trail, which includes a 15 mile hiking trail system and a 1/2 mile fitness trail with 7 exercise stations.

Ludlow's Island Resort offers a variety of cabins, including Birches, Dawn, Evergreen, Northshore, Northside, Southshore, Wakemup, Baybreeze, Bayside, Dusk, Norway, Sun Up, Sundown, Stardust, Twilight, Night Owl, Dreamcatcher, and Coffeetime. Some cabins feature a deck, screened porch, private sauna, a whirlpool tub, a boathouse, or a stone fireplace. Each cabin has a full kitchen. Select cabins include a washer and dryer. Some cabins accommodate pets for a fee. Stardust is filled with Cree Indian prints painted by Winhold Reiss. Twilight is located on the southwest shore of Ludlow's Island, offering views of Lake Vermilion sunsets. Dawn features a split-level layout. Northstar is the upper and main living level of the former Ludlow family home. Dreamcatcher is four stories tall. Coffeetime is a five-bedroom cabin.
